    We’re different to other agencies because our team is made up of former magazine editors, print journalists, public relations’ specialists and social media strategists.     Mabel Maguire is masterminded by Kirsten Matthew, a former journalist, editor and author with more than 20 years’ experience working in New Zealand and the USA. After 10 years working in magazines and newspapers in New York City, she has a finely-tuned talent for creative strategy and storytelling… and a knack for hiring other women who are amazing at what they do.

     

    Together, the Mabel team has decades’ worth of experience in the worlds of FMCG, hospitality, pharmaceutical, auto, not-for-profit, music, arts, health, architecture and design brands. Together, we help people with big, beautiful ideas to get the word out on the street and online. Together, we have fun and get shit done.

    Kirsten is a former journalist, editor and author with more than 20 years’ experience working in New Zealand and the USA. She was an editor at the New York Post, Page Six Magazine, InStyle.com and Urbis and has authored three books. Since establishing Mabel Maguire in 2014, Kirsten has helped Toyota Global, Auckland Council, Stevens, Nourish Group and dozens of other New Zealand and international companies to develop their strategic communications.

    Kara spent 15 years in London working for the United Kingdom’s leading mass-participation sports marketing agency, delivering events for brands including Nike, J.P. Morgan and LOCOG. In New Zealand, she was Head of Events at Spark PHD and has worked in a freelance capacity for numerous large agencies and brands, including Lotto NZ, The Warehouse and Adidas.

    Ella has spent the last seven years working in the digital design world as a graphic designer and front-end developer. She works with brands to establish their own look and feel and create their online presence. She’s worked on a range of New Zealand brands including Q-Card, Emirates, Goodman Fielder, Father Rabbit and Edit Store.
